{ga.}
{ga.} :
UKT 200627: The Bur-Myan phoneme
{ga.} is the first phoneme in which Pali-Lanka and Pali-Latin (International Pali), differ from Pal-Myan. In these languages, the inherent vowel is not /a/ but /e/ (
{é} or
{è}). Because Eng-Lat, the international transcriptional corresponding language, could not differentiate,
{é} and
{è}, I have to use the English <e> for this phoneme and write {ge}. Thus Mon-Myan is /
{gé}/ for the Martaban dialect and /
{ké} for the Peguan dialect. Mon-Myan and Bur-Myan differs not only in phoneme but also in grapheme for r1c2. Mon-Myan writes
for Bur-Myan
/
. In this phoneme-grapheme pair, Bur-Myan resembles Pal-Myan and Skt-Dev.
