At Pagan in Myanmar, in Ananda Pagoda, there are 4 four images representing the four buddhas who have already appeared. Each image is facing different directions:
1. Buddha Kakusandha, the First, facing north. See kakusandha.
2. Buddha Konagamana, the Second, facing east
3. Buddha Kassapa, the Third, facing south. See kassapa.
4. Buddha Gautama, the Fourth, facing west
The fifth, Buddha Mettaya, is not represented.
