"When Shiva is angry, He is called Rudra. When Shiva sits on Nandi, He is called Maheshwara or Nandishwara. When Parvati is said to be the wife of Shiva, She is called Shivani or Maheshwari or Raudri. There are 12 rudras." showing how Rig Véda has changed with time.
