The plant grows in sandy loamy soil as in the case of Amaranthus
spp. Grows in cotton and corn fields. Height 1 to 1 1/2 feet. General appearance
similar to Amaranthus spp. Note: There are two kinds -- the ordinary and
the red. The red kind is more effective medicinally.
